Litigation Attorney

A distinguished law firm in Wichita, KS, is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in handling complex litigation cases. This role offers an opportunity to represent injured individuals and advocate on their behalf against large insurance companies. The ideal candidate will manage active litigation cases, conduct court proceedings, and handle trial responsibilities in a dynamic and professional legal environment. Duties Manage litigation files from inception to resolution. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Prepare and present cases at trial, serving as first chair when required. Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediation proceedings. Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and trial preparations. Provide sound legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process. Requirements Active Kansas Bar license (or the ability to obtain one). Proven experience in litigation, including trial and courtroom advocacy. Strong negotiation, research, and writing skills. Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively. Commitment to client-focused representation and achieving favorable outcomes. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Kansas or eligible for reciprocity. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Effective negotiation and litigation strategy development.
