Are you a trained physician passionate about education? Are you looking to use your medical knowledge and expertise to help train the next generation of healthcare providers? UWorld is seeking physicians interested in a nonclinical, onsite position to collaborate with our team of clinical/practicing physicians, subject matter experts, editors, and illustrators on high-quality clinical and basic science content for our question banks. This is a great opportunity to impact medical education through innovative tools.
Minimum Education Required:
MD/DO
Minimum Experience Required:
Graduate of an accredited medical school
High performance on the USMLE
High performance on relevant specialty board certification exams (if applicable)
Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
Required Skills:
Strong medical knowledge (subject matter expertise)
Ability to conceptualize, integrate, and teach complex medical topics
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to accept and respond positively to feedback
Proven ability to work independently and within a team
Must work onsite at our Dallas, Texas office (not remote)
Job Duties:
Develop original content for UWorld question banks, including writing vignettes and/or comprehensive explanations in UWorld style
Review content created by team members, focusing on accuracy, readability, and educational value
Collaborate with medical illustrators to create high-yield images and figures
Work with interdisciplinary teams of subject matter experts, editors, illustrators, and IT/support staff
Perform additional tasks as needed
