Senior Engineer

with deep expertise in

Water Resources Engineering . This firm is recognized for its delivery in watershed and stormwater modeling and seeks a passionate, technically skilled professional to strengthen their growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in stormwater hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and stormwater design, with practical experience in GIS-based analysis and advanced stormwater modeling. Proficiency with ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software, and AutoCAD Civil3D is highly desired. Position Overview: As a Senior Water Resources Engineer you will provide strategic technical leadership across a wide range of complex, high-profile projects. Utilizing deep industry knowledge, they will apply advanced engineering principles and innovative techniques to deliver outstanding project outcomes. This individual will also mentor and guide junior engineers and serve as a critical technical advisor to leadership and clients. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Oversee and mentor Project Engineers, Engineers, and Engineering Interns on a project-by-project basis. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and team members to maximize project profitability while maintaining technical excellence. Interface with clients to ensure project scopes are well-defined, expectations are exceeded, and project goals are met. Lead complex system analyses and designs, providing guidance and oversight to team members. Develop comprehensive project deliverables, including technical studies, engineering reports, detailed drawings, and specifications. Adhere to project timelines and proactively communicate challenges to the Project Manager. Offer senior-level technical expertise during construction phases, including submittal reviews and site observations. Track and report project progress relative to deliverables, scope, schedule, and budget. Deliver consultative value and build long-term client trust through expert insights and solutions. Pursue ongoing professional development to maintain cutting-edge industry knowledge. Quality Assurance Take ownership of the technical quality and accuracy of all project deliverables. Perform thorough reviews of designs and project documentation prior to submission. Implement internal Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes to meet company and industry standards. Conduct peer reviews to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. Deliver work that consistently passes rigorous internal and external reviews. Project Management Serve as a Task Manager or Project Manager as needed, leading project teams to success. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation efficiently. Business Development & Client Relations Support proposal development efforts, ensuring scopes are complete, competitive, and aligned with client needs. Actively engage with clients to deliver technical solutions and strengthen professional relationships. Consistently represent the company with professionalism, technical authority, and a client-first attitude. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university. Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Tennessee. Minimum of 8 years of progressive consulting or related engineering experience. Advanced knowledge of stormwater modeling, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and GIS-based stormwater analysis. Proficient in ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, and industry-standard stormwater modeling software. Seniority level
