Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider Team Lead to oversee our Inpatient Acute Care Services Team on the Southside of Atlanta, including Fayetteville, Newnan, and Sharpsburg. This full-time, day-shift position offers a great opportunity to work with one of the nation's leading cardiology programs alongside highly trained physicians. PHI provides comprehensive cardiovascular services, including electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical, and research services. Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of APPs, including staffing, scheduling, recruitment, annual reviews, performance management, and budget management. Engage in strategic planning, goal setting, and performance evaluations in collaboration with physician leaders. Ensure compliance with training and safety protocols. Support daily administrative and clinical team activities. Provide expert medical care under physician supervision. Maintain efficient and safe operations of the team. Respond to patient, physician, and staff needs. Participate in 1:4 on-call schedule. Act as liaison between physicians, staff, and APPs to promote team cohesion. Perform clinical shifts as an APP to support the team. Manage escalations and communicate significant matters to the APP Director. Maintain adequate scheduling to support patient volumes and crisis management. Assist in the evaluation and treatment of inpatient Cardiology patients. This role functions largely independently, requiring experience with minimal supervision and strong independent work skills. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited PA program with National Board Certification, or licensed Nurse approved as an NP in Georgia with National Certification. Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of supervisory or lead experience; 3-5 years of Acute Care Cardiology experience preferred. Additional Details
