Student Success Coach, Alpha - $120,000/year USD
role at
Trilogy This range is provided by Trilogy. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range
$60.00/hr - $60.00/hr Some people just have it—that ability to walk into a room of energetic, unpredictable, hilarious little humans and instantly connect. If you're the type who sees potential where others see problems, who believes that kids rise to the level of your expectations, you might be the right fit for this high-impact role.
At Alpha, we reject the idea that traditional school is the best we can offer. We believe that with the right tools and the right expectations, all kids can achieve far more, far faster. Our K-2 team doesn't lecture—they coach. Students here master core academics in just two hours a day using AI-powered platforms. Your job is to make sure those hours count. That means helping every student—regardless of background or starting point—build the habits, confidence, and mindset they need to thrive.
We're looking for someone who knows how to hold high expectations and build deep trust. Someone who can walk into a room of 5-year-olds and get them moving with purpose. Someone who believes that every child is capable—and knows how to make them believe it, too.
This is a full-time, in-person role located in one of five communities:
Washington, D.C (Chantilly, VA) Raleigh NC Charlotte NC Orange County (Lake Forest), CA San Francisco, CA
If you're ready to bet on kids the way we do, we want to meet you!
What You Will Be Doing
Guiding students during the 2-Hour Learning block, helping them set goals, stay on task, and use tech tools effectively. Supporting reading habits and routines by reinforcing skills introduced by Reading Specialists. Coaching emotional regulation, resilience, and peer collaboration with consistent structure and warmth. Tracking student progress and needs, flagging issues early, and adjusting strategies in collaboration with your team. Creating a classroom culture that feels structured, playful, and personal—like summer camp with high expectations.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Leading whole-class lessons from a whiteboard all day. Owning literacy instruction or designing curriculum. Grading stacks of papers or writing long lesson plans. Working in a tech-absent or joyless classroom environment. Managing behavior without understanding the human underneath it.
Student Success Coach Key Responsibilities
Empower young learners to build the habits, confidence, and emotional resilience they need to thrive in Alpha's fast-paced, tech-enabled learning model.
Basic Requirements
Must be able to work full-time and in-person at one of our campus locations: Washington D.C., Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Orange County, CA, or San Francisco, CA. A college degree in any field. At least 3 years of experience working with children ages 4–8 in education, afterschool, coaching, or similar environments. Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage groups of young kids with both structure and joy. Growth mindset and coachable attitude. Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
Training or certifications in early childhood learning models (e.g., CDA, Montessori, Reggio Emilia). Experience supporting reading instruction or working alongside literacy specialists. Familiarity with adaptive learning software or personalized education tools.
