Key Responsibilities: Manage and execute a variety of civil litigation matters, with a focus on commercial disputes, from start to finish. Collaborate with senior attorneys in preparing cases for trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated. Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and argument development. Work closely with clients to assess case objectives and provide timely updates on progress and strategy. Handle and review complex contracts, business agreements, and other commercial documents related to ongoing disputes. Assist in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, trial support, and post-trial motions. Contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing and mentoring junior attorneys or staff when appropriate. Qualifications & Experience: 3-7 years of experience in civil litigation. At least two years of experience working in a large firm environment with exposure to complex, multi-faceted legal matters. Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and work efficiently under pressure. Experience in drafting high-quality legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery. Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients in a variety of forums. Excellent client service and communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and responsiveness. Proven ability to manage multiple cases concurrently while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and attention to detail. Education & Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensed to practice in Utah and/or California. Admission to the bar in the applicable state(s) is required; candidates licensed in both Utah and California will be preferred. Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
