POSITION SUMMARY:
Wholesale Marketing of Targa and third-party propane and other NGL production (as appropriate) to independent and multi-state retail customers in the AR/LA/MS/TN market area. JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will require training alongside other Marketers/Schedulers to learn our business practices and eventually manage their own market area and customer base. Travel to producers and customer sites to establish relationships for buying, selling, and distributing NGL products. Develop a working knowledge of the propane industry. Maintain customer and supplier relationships to grow market share and profitability. Coordinate closely with scheduling, transportation, trading, accounting, and contract administration departments to ensure operational objectives, financial reporting, and SOX compliance requirements are met. Develop an understanding of our product cost structure, product pricing, logistics, inventory management, and competitors’ practices. Train in our RightAngle system to input customer deals and transactions, derive data from RA reporting, and manage inventory positions. Assist with scheduling duties for the targeted markets, including daily communication with customers to schedule supply points and inventory locations, and working closely with truck, rail, and barge groups to maximize efficiencies and prevent product run-outs. Approximately 50% travel is associated with this position. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Strong communication, analytical, and personal computer skills. High energy and motivation for travel, learning, entertainment, and building business relationships. Strong communication, organizational, sales, computer, and phone skills. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Conscientious about quality, accuracy, meeting timelines, and taking ownership of the job. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting. Ability to clearly explain operational and financial objectives to management. Availability to customers 24/7/365. Regular and reliable attendance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in NGL marketing, scheduling, inventory management, and RightAngle software is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management is a plus.
