We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team.
The Practice Manager is the financial and operational leader of the hospital. They work with hospital leadership and CVP to ensure efficient operations and financial performance. The Practice Manager leads by example to motivate and inspire the team to provide excellent client and pet care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Human Resources
Manage all HR functions including recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, and terminations.
Oversee annual performance evaluations for staff.
Implement and maintain safety and disaster plans.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and Workers’ Compensation.
Communicate policies, updates, and feedback to staff.
Mediate personnel issues and document disciplinary actions.
Operations
Inform management of staff, client, and facility issues.
Address client concerns promptly, working with veterinarians and RDO.
Coordinate marketing efforts with CVP and veterinarians.
Maintain facility and equipment safety and cleanliness.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage inventory and oversee meetings.
Administer patient reminder systems and monitor client wellness programs.
Manage hospital email and practice management system.
Marketing
Manage client communications and social media.
Update marquee messages.
Develop referral relationships with community partners.
Participate in community events to attract clients.
Financial
Participate in budgeting, review financial reports, and monitor hospital finances.
Coordinate capital expenses and verify vendor invoices.
Prepare weekly business reports and manage payroll and banking.
The Practice Manager may also provide client service or patient care during scheduled shifts.
Supervisory Responsibilities Manage all hospital team members.
Required Education & Experience At least 4 years of hospital management experience; college degree preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Certification in Veterinary Practice Management is preferred.
