MicroTech Overview MicroTech is seeking an Air Operations Command (AOC) Network Administrator Level II for the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. The CAOC team provides installation, operation, maintenance, administration, and management of AOC Weapons System network infrastructure, datalinks, and systems to ensure services are operational and available with minimal interruption. This includes switches, routers, encryption devices, cabling, and other equipment supporting connectivity for 609 ACOMS and 609 EACOMS.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 2 technical support (diagnosis, analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex network, client, and end-user connectivity issues escalated by Tier 1 support); Add and remove client devices (e.g., PCs, Thin Clients, VoIPs, VoSIPs, VTCs, DVTCs, peripherals); Update and patch network equipment, firmware, and software to ensure cybersecurity compliance; Operate and maintain access control systems; manage MAC address authentication; Administer network accounts and access; Operate and maintain network monitoring tools; detect, analyze, and resolve network issues; Monitor network performance, utilization, and capacity; report vulnerabilities to technical representatives; Evaluate infrastructure, research technologies, and recommend hardware/software upgrades for end-of-life products. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Networking, or 4+ years of networking experience; DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher; Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent; Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
