Sr. EDI Analyst
at its facility located at 1205 Dearborn Dr, Columbus, OH 43085. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide recommendations and functional support for EDI, related to Worthingtons source systems. Understand available functionalities in the current deployed solution. Advise on new solutions, integrations, and functionality enhancements. Understand the impact of process changes on the system and guide process definitions accordingly. Consult with end-users to analyze needs, objectives, and input/output requirements from EDI trading partners. Provide end-user instruction and support to resolve EDI issues, escalate when necessary, and retain ownership of issues. Assist with evaluation, design, and implementation of functional enhancements, including EDI map requirement specifications (MRS) changes, working with Worthingtons VAN, Covisint. Monitor and document post-implementation issues while maintaining the MRS as needed. Collaborate closely with Worthingtons development team on all EDI system components, actively monitoring and tracking system development requests (SDRs). Recommend and assist in developing training materials and provide training to new users. Guide users in implementing business processes related to EDI. Develop detailed business requirement specifications for developers, process definitions, and maintain application documentation. Develop and coordinate implementation plans. Conduct testing of business and functional processes related to EDI. This position allows for hybrid telecommuting: 2 days per week in the office. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as an EDI Analyst, Software Engineer, Software Analyst, or related occupation. The candidate must have experience with: Translating business requirements into technical solutions, developing complete Mapping Requirement Specifications (MSR) to comply with X12 /EDIFACT standards for transactions like EDI ANSI X12 (810, 812, 820, etc.) and EDIFACT messages (DELINS, DELJIT, etc.), according to AISI standards. Developing MRS and configuring Oracle to support Toll processing, using 870 Order Status to communicate production phases based on AISI standards. Testing EDI mappings to verify MRS produces desired results in line with trading partner specifications. Coordinating with trading partners to establish VAN connections using protocols such as AS2, VAN, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS. Performing end-to-end testing with trading and business partners to exchange EDI data via VAN. Monitoring all EDI file processing, troubleshooting communication, translation, integration, and performance issues. Supporting all EDI production processes, developing, and modifying maps to ensure successful data integration with internal systems and trading partners VANs. Developing P2P solutions with suppliers using punch-out catalogs, leveraging Oracles eCommerce B2B solutions.
