Perform clerical and admission tasks for the Chemotherapy & Infusion Outpatient Service unit. Coordinate care, collaborate with referring physician practices and clinical staff on patient registration and scheduling. Obtain required information for registration & scheduling, including orders, H&P, labs, and necessary documentation for patient charts. Complete Epic Registration, updating and verifying patient demographics and emergency contacts. Enter insurance info, verify coverage, and handle Medicare screens electronically. Coordinate with Financial Aid, Authorization, and Charity Care departments for treatment authorization and referrals. Maintain and update the Epic Order workqueue, linking orders to appointments and managing daily registration and appointment updates. Handle patient information scanning, labeling, and storage. Coordinate with MSK and physician offices for patient appointments and transfusion processes, including maintaining spreadsheets and preparing Transfusion Administration Records. Assist clinical staff with scheduling, referrals, and transfusion order updates. Perform secretarial duties: greet patients, answer phones, check-in/out patients, order supplies, and maintain office equipment. Maintain patient chart logs and perform other assigned duties. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Proficiency in software and computer skills. Experience with Epic Cadence scheduling and Epic Prelude registration. We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
