The Advance Practice Professional (APP) is a clinical and medical expert in Hematology/Oncology patient care. The APP conducts comprehensive patient evaluations, including biological, social, and psychological assessments, in collaboration with the clinical team. Responsibilities include assessing, coordinating educational and psychosocial needs, developing and reviewing care plans, participating in patient education, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and participating in discharge planning and follow-up. Provide healthcare services in accordance with state law and professional licensing requirements. These services may include, but are not limited to, clinical assessments, procedures, and patient education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER: Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing. National Certification by recognized APRN Certification Centers. Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia. American Heart Association BLS Certification required, with additional Advanced Life Support training at the department's discretion. Experience: Hematology/Oncology, acute care, or internal medicine experience preferred. Eligible new graduates will be considered. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: OCN or AOCN certification preferred. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Bachelor's or Master's Degree as Physician Assistant required. Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant training program. Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the WV Board of Medicine or WV Board of Osteopathic Medicine. American Heart Association BLS Certification required, with additional ALS training at the department's discretion. Experience: Hematology/Oncology, acute care, or internal medicine experience preferred. Eligible new graduates will be considered. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements describe the general nature of work performed and are not all-inclusive: managing comprehensive patient care, completing rounds, assessments, ordering tests, performing procedures, discharge planning, participating in education, and collaborating with the healthcare team, among others. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Heavy work involving lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Includes working closely with others, irregular hours, biohazards, infectious diseases, and working near deceased individuals. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
