Temporary Project Estimated Duration :12 months with possible extensions Work Setting:
The position involves occasional travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes, with an estimated travel frequency of up to 25%.
Required: • Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup experience; • Experience with the technical, performance and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS • Commissioning process creation experience; • Experience with containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners; • Experience with troubleshooting; • Experience with DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV); • Computer skills MS word, Excel and MS PowerPoint; • Experience with BESS; • B.S. in Engineering
Preferred: • Engineering or professional electrical career in power systems construction and startup with min 100MW-hr; • 5 EA energy storage systems and commissioning; • Experience with SCADA
Responsibilities : • Responsible for planning and organizing an engineering project and the application of complex engineering skills requiring advanced knowledge; • May supervise a small group of engineering professionals as a project leader; • Makes independent decisions which are not regularly subject to technical review; • Participates in safety program and audits; • Support PPA Testing with Customer; • Support GIA Testing with TO; • Support ISO testing; • Manage test energy forecast with the customer; • Support ICCP IT SCADA Team and SCADA PM/Lead with functional checks; • Work with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project manager to develop a Commissioning schedule based on Mechanical completion; • Work with SCADA integrator and Commissioning Manger to execute site acceptance testing; • Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD; • Perform OEM Testing; • Perform Plant Balancing; • Perform Capacity Testing; • Perform notification of AVR/AGC and support; • Review performance data for deficiencies;
