Senior Project Manager Job Description Overview The Project Manager is responsible for estimating and managing multiple concurrent projects in the Energy sector. They will ensure project success, profitability for Kwest Group, and that projects are managed to maximize safety, quality, and customer service. Responsibilities Assist in bid preparations with the senior project manager regarding constructability issues. Prepare quantity take-offs for proposals. Solicit material and subcontractor pricing for project bids. Coordinate with Field Operations and Equipment Department to manage resources. Represent the company professionally at pre-bid and project meetings. Work on-site to direct or assist Superintendents/Foremen when needed. Foster growth of relationships and trust through servant leadership. Prepare estimates, review plans, specifications, and bid documents. Perform accurate quantity take-offs under supervision. Serve as a technical/constructability expert during proposals. Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid. Procure and review subcontractor and material quotes. Summarize additional project requirements and review with senior management. Assist in pricing and final bid submission, with approval from senior management. Manage all contract documents from award to close-out. Conduct pre-job and project meetings, distribute documents, and maintain project documentation. Visit sites regularly, attend meetings, and manage project financials including AR and AP. Oversee project closeout procedures. Requirements and Qualifications 5+ years of heavy civil/site work project management experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Self-starter with collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to develop positive relationships and work flexible hours. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and prioritization abilities. Work approximately 50-55 hours per week. Authority Contact suppliers and subcontractors for quotes. Request and review reports from project teams. Represent the company during project execution under supervision. Manage subcontractors and suppliers. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and manual tasks. Regular standing and walking, with occasional bending or reaching. Travel required to project sites and offices, including overnight and extended trips. Work environment includes active construction sites with typical hazards.
