Director, Global Procurement Compliance
will lead a team of Compliance Managers and Specialists responsible for all cGMP compliance aspects of procurement operations. This individual will also be a member of the Global Procurement Direct Category Leadership team, contributing to team efficiency and strategy. The key activities include, but are not limited to: management of the Approved Supplier List (ASL), deviation investigations, CAPAs, supplier audit closures, regulatory support, SOP updates, change controls, Supplier Periodic Reviews, and managing Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR). In This Role, a Typical Day May Include:
Leading and implementing strategies to meet global and regional business needs. Collaborating with team members and procurement management to align priorities. Representing Global Procurement in cGMP landscape discussions affecting organizational success. Ensuring compliance with GxPs and applicable regulations alongside Category Leaders. Leading a team of professionals directly or via a matrix structure. Mentoring the Procurement Compliance team and exemplifying leadership. Using data to inform decision-making for projects. Overseeing progress on quality system results, documentation, and due dates. Interfacing with Quality Assurance and other functions to resolve issues. Conducting deviation investigations and coordinating CAPA for high-risk events. Maintaining procurement cGMP procedures, documentation, and training. Reassessing and improving global procurement systems and processes. Supporting compliance functions at other sites, including travel if needed. Managing the ASL and supplier periodic reviews. Leading Supplier Review Board meetings and ensuring proper documentation. Driving successful supplier audits through proactive issue resolution and communication. This Role May Be For You If:
You leverage external data, market info, and regulatory engagement to enhance compliance knowledge. You operate with integrity, focus, and transparency in ambiguous environments, driving change. You have a proven record of leading continuous improvement initiatives and building influential collaborations. You can drive KPIs such as right-first-time for deviation investigations. You possess solid experience in establishing and maintaining a QMS compliant with EU and US legislation. You are proficient with business applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, Quality, or Compliance, preferably in Pharma/BioPharma.
