Position Overview Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a Physician Interventional Cardiologist. SAVAHCS is a recognized leader in VA healthcare, a 2012 Robert W. Carey Performance Excellence Award winner, offering a full range of clinical services including complex coronary angioplasty, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, Mohs surgery, and neurosurgery. It is also a teaching affiliate of the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Responsibilities
Participate in quality improvement and adhere to all regulations. Support training of fellows, residents, and medical students from the University of Arizona. Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications. Comply with VA and SAVAHCS regulatory requirements. Work schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if US citizens cannot be recruited). Medical degree (MD or equivalent). Unrestricted medical license in all U.S. states. Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology by ABIM. Completion of residency training in the USA.
