Job Title: VP, Relationship Manager Job Description: Summary: Develop and manage new commercial loan accounts and client relationships while enhancing existing customer relationships. To achieve this, it is expected that the role be proactive in providing financial solutions to both existing and prospective clients. Also responsible for increasing the bank's deposit base through various products, developing sound and profitable business relationships, credit assessment, and exceeding customer needs and expectations while complying with regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent the bank in the business community; actively develop relationships with business owners, C-level executives, COIs, etc., and build a network of prospective bank customers to drive deal flow.
Build and maintain a list of at least 15 targeted prospect profiles; strategize and execute a call plan to meet individual and team sales objectives for the bank's various business lines.
Manage and service commercial relationships by interviewing applicants and obtaining pertinent financial data.
Evaluate financial information and determine credit acceptability.
Approve loans within assigned lending authority and company policies.
Recommend credits outside lending authority to the next level or present to Loan Committee.
Monitor existing loans for conformity to terms and conditions.
Participate with senior lending officers on larger, complex credits.
Monitor market conditions and competitor impact; make recommendations to maintain competitive and profitable products.
Develop and maintain knowledge of all commercial products for cross-selling and client experience enhancement.
Analyze financial statements and related information.
Qualifications:
Skills in commercial credit underwriting, business development, and portfolio management for mid-sized developers and investors.
5-7 years of Commercial Lending experience preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to cross-sell banking products.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
Sound business judgment and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Understanding of banking regulations, compliance, market trends, and products.
Analytical and decision-making skills based on risk assessment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business.
5-7 years of related banking experience.
Computer and Software Skills:
Word, Excel, Bankway, Salesforce, Google Mail, LinkedIn
