Description As Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a team at the heart of some of our most visible and impactful work. Your role will include:- Team Leadership & GrowthHire, mentor, and support a team of talented engineers. Foster individual growth, set clear expectations, and build a culture of ownership and collaboration.- Product Execution & DeliveryPartner with designers, product owners, and engineering peers to define and deliver user-facing features that feel magical — all while balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.- Cross-Functional PartnershipRepresent Spotlight UI across the organization. Work closely with system software teams, platform architects, and UX designers to integrate seamlessly into the broader ecosystem.- Strategic Thinking & PrioritizationHelp the team focus on what matters most. Evaluate trade-offs, question assumptions, and guide the team to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions.- System-Level UnderstandingQuickly ramp up on the broader system architecture. Connect the dots between frameworks, UI layers, and platform capabilities to drive innovation from the inside out.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience building and leading software engineering teams. Ability to recruit, grow, and retain top talent. Strong technical foundation and hands-on experience shipping high-quality user features. A strategic thinker who can manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and teams. High attention to detail, with a deep understanding of UI and system design trade-offs. A leader who empowers their team and values integrity, curiosity, and quality. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Apple development environments (iOS/macOS) is a strong plus. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
