Business Development Manager - Cables North America
Job Purpose:
This role involves business development, technical sales, and customer service to develop relationships with target customers, open new business opportunities, and manage ongoing customer relationships. A broad understanding of customer needs and the ability to leverage Sanminas resources creatively are essential. Nature of Duties:
Develop and implement strategies to penetrate current and potential customer accounts, understanding their needs and leveraging engineering and manufacturing resources to provide solutions. Build strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Identify manufacturing opportunities early through customer and engineering relationships and participate in design reviews for cables. Align with the Cables Division leadership on strategic and financial goals. Create messaging and value propositions for strategic opportunities and pursue them to successful closure. Participate in sales strategies and business reviews, developing strategic technical plans. Communicate issues back to the company to facilitate resolution. Manage RFQs, ensure timely responses, and provide feedback to management for business planning. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree 8 years of sales experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in cables, connectors, or electro-mechanical industries. Proven success in commercial roles, preferably with key relationships in defense, automotive, or medical sectors. Motivated, entrepreneurial, with strong work ethics and integrity. Experience in developing and securing new accounts and managing existing ones. Deep understanding of cables, including costing and pricing. Proficient in MS Office. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with remote, cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations. Project management skills are a plus, with the ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Willingness to travel overnight within the USA and Mexico.
