The Simulation Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the Simulation Innovation Learning Center. The Simulation Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, inventory, and operation of all simulation equipment/supplies including technical support and troubleshooting for staff and learners. The Simulation Coordinator will collaborate with the Simulation Manager, Director of Professional Practice, Director of Medical Education, and the Education Specialists/Clinical Nurse Specialists to design, plan, implement, and schedule simulation activities.
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing
Licensures/Certifications:
* Must possess current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse.
* Healthcare Provider CPR biennial
* Certification in Simulation or complete a Simulation Educator Certificate Program
Experience:
At least five (5) years' experience in Nursing with two (2) years' experience applying educational concepts, including program planning and evaluation.
Skills:
* Knowledge of nursing and adult educational theories in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality educational programs
* Analytic skills necessary in order to develop and evaluate educational programs and assess learning needs of staff.
* Demonstrated knowledge of multiple operating systems (windows and Apple), and multimedia software.
* Experience with a variety of high-fidelity simulation manikins.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
* Responsible for the day to day functioning of the simulation center
* Maintains security of lab and lab equipment.
* Assists with budget and makes recommendation for purchases that will enhance teaching.
* Maintains master schedule of activities of the center
* Collects, analyzes and tracks statistical data with respect to simulation sessions and simulation center activities.
* Oversees the resource list of all lab, simulation equipment, audiovisuals, and technology devices including hardware and software.
* Collaborates with the Simulation Manager, the Director of Medical Education, and the Education Specialists/Clinical Nurse Specialists meet individual and unit needs for improved quality of patient care.
* Participates in the establishment and maintenance of procedures within the clinical area.
* Provides oversight of the Simulation Operation Specialist
* May provide feedback for the performance appraisal process of staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Educational
* Develop and evaluate simulation programs to meet the learning needs of the staff through formal and informal mechanisms.
* Collaborates with the Simulation Manager regarding clinical needs and to assist in creating, planning and implementing meaningful simulation scenarios.
* Participates in education lectures to the staff.
* Pursues educational activities to broaden knowledge base regarding standards of simulation use in clinical education.
* Participates in research

Pay Range
$83,725.42 - $140,459.93 Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
