We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Practice Innovation Manager to lead and accelerate innovation initiatives within our Immigration Practice Group. This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for technology, process improvement, and client service to drive the adoption and integration of generative AI, legal technology, and workflow enhancements. The Practice Innovation Manager will collaborate closely with attorneys, practice group leaders, developers, and firm leadership to identify, pilot, and implement cutting-edge solutions that transform immigration legal service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and enhance client outcomes. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep experience in immigration law and a strong interest in legal technology and innovation. Position Summary

This role is ideal for a candidate with deep experience in immigration law and a strong interest in legal technology and innovation.
Essential Functions
Lead Innovation Initiatives: Drive the development, testing, and deployment of generative AI and legal technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of the immigration practice. Oversee pilots, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure successful integration into practice group workflows. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with immigration attorneys, paralegals, and business leaders to identify high-value opportunities for innovation. Gather business and technical requirements, and work with internal and external developers to design and implement solutions that align with practice group objectives. Change Management and Adoption: Develop and execute change management strategies to maximize adoption and engagement with new tools. Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and resource guides to ensure attorneys and staff are equipped to use innovative solutions effectively. Project Management: Lead multidisciplinary project teams through the full lifecycle of innovation projects, from ideation and scoping to execution, rollout, and post-implementation review. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Performance Measurement: Monitor and report on the impact and ROI of innovation initiatives. Track adoption metrics, gather user feedback, and refine strategies to continuously improve engagement and outcomes. Content and Workflow Optimization: Curate and optimize legal content, templates, and workflows for AI training and automation. Build and maintain a repository of best practices, prompt libraries, and success stories. Vendor and Technology Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with external technology vendors. Lead the full lifecycle from pilot and vendor management through licensing, deployment, and ongoing support. Marketing of Innovation Initiatives: Develop and deliver compelling presentations to internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting the practice group’s technology and innovation initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing team to showcase these advancements through client-facing materials, events, and thought leadership, positioning the practice group as a leader in legal technology and innovation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience 6+ years of experience with legal technology, generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Harvey, document automation platforms), or legal innovation initiatives 5+ years of experience in immigration law, with a strong understanding of immigration legal workflows and client service delivery Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with attorneys, developers, and business stakeholders Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical applications for legal professionals Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Experience piloting, deploying, or supporting AI-driven solutions in a legal or professional services environment Familiarity with prompt engineering, machine learning concepts, and generative AI model development Experience with Agile/Scrum project management and tools such as Jira is a plus Passion for legal innovation and a strong interest in emerging technologies and their application to immigration law

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $130,000 and $195,000. In accordance with New York State’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $143,000 and $215,000. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $143,000 and $215,000. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $137,000 and $206,000. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act, the expected salary range for this DC position is between $137,000 and $206,000. In accordance with Maryland’s Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $123,000 and $185,000. In accordance with the New Jersey Pay and Benefit Transparency Act, the expected salary range for this New Jersey based position is between $143,000 and $215,000. In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act Transparency Notice, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $137,000 and $206,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
