We are seeking a
Journeyman Incident Response (IR) Analyst
to support enterprise cybersecurity operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in security operations, log analysis, and threat detection, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across critical systems, with opportunities to influence company growth and culture. Employment is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities: Monitoring security systems and analyzing alerts for potential incidents. Investigating security events to determine root causes and impacts. Coordinating incident response activities across technical teams. Maintaining incident response documentation and playbooks. Participating in reviews and reporting to improve response strategies. Supporting detection and response capability development. Staying informed on emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Requirements: Strong understanding of security operations and incident response processes. Experience with log analysis, alert investigation, and security data sources. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. Ability to work under pressure and respond to high-impact incidents. Proficiency with security tools, SIEM platforms, and endpoint detection systems. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills. Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. At least 4 years of relevant experience. Ability to analyze complex requirements and develop clear action plans. Understanding of the incident response lifecycle, including detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned. Active DOE Q Clearance or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance. Preferred:
Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications. Location:
