Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager - Land Use/Development Focus
to join our Environmental Permitting and Planning team in northern California. The role involves managing environmental clearance and compliance for land use and development projects, working with public and private clients, and coordinating with agencies and teams. The position can be based in Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, or San Jose. Key responsibilities include: Leading environmental planning and compliance efforts, including CEQA and NEPA documentation. Managing contracts, scope, budgets, and client relationships. Overseeing project teams and subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence. Supporting business development through proposal writing and client engagement. Mentoring staff and collaborating with various stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or related field. 8 years of relevant experience in land use, development projects, and impact assessments for CEQA/NEPA. Valid U.S. Driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in environmental planning, permitting, and community engagement. Strong project management and technical report writing skills. Experience managing interdisciplinary teams and client relationships. Knowledge of land use development in California, including Senate Bill 330. Additional Information US Citizenship required. Salary range: $155,000 - $200,000, based on location and qualifications.
