Visual UX Designer, AI Systems

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems Design team is part of Amazon's Devices and Services Design organization. Our central design studio is responsible for the UX of Echo Family Devices, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and more. Our mission is to bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high-value experiences for our customers. Key job responsibilities As a Visual UX Designer, you will work hands-on alongside a talented team of designers and technologists, focusing on the digital aesthetics of our future AI Systems. You will utilize your strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography, and illustrations. You should be comfortable visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and translating that vision into clear design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connections between customers and our products. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience delivering design solutions as a UX or interaction designer An online portfolio demonstrating your work Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A well-crafted portfolio showcasing innovative visual design solutions Experience designing complex workflows in UX Proven ability to craft design concepts that inform the future vision of digital products Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers, and content creators Experience collaborating with technical partners for design implementation Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive the design cycle, and multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected statuses.
