How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Delta’s Fuel team is responsible for lowering Delta’s fuel cost through maximizing profitability of our refinery. This position is responsible for the scheduling and movement of all refined products for the Monroe refinery as part of the Delta Fuel Team. You will work closely with the Optimization team and Monroe refinery personnel to properly optimize all downstream units while ensuring optimal pipeline and barge schedules for the gasoline and distillate products. You will also work with the various departments within the Supply and Trading team to understand the logistics and market impact of our business decisions.
Liaise and schedule with internal and external schedulers/traders to ensure on time sales/deliveries of refined products across pipelines, barge docks, and tank management. Gain full understanding of our supply logistics and have a thorough understanding of how the refinery operates and where constraints exist Build and maintain scheduling relationships where Monroe operates Develop and present supply optimization opportunities to management Work closely with Monroe personnel regarding inventory levels and constraints

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
5+ years of experience in Contract Negotiations, Energy Management, Supply Logistics, Finance, or other highly analytical experience Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data Job availability is 24/7 due to deadlines, job responsibilities, interaction, and involvement with the Monroe organization Travel will be required in this role (up to 25%) Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field is preferred Demonstrate excellent communication skills while being able to build and maintain commercial relationships Ability to work in a trading desk environment with exposure to shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and expectations that multiple projects can be managed concurrently Highly proficient in effective communication and conflict resolution High level of initiative in managing your workload, including identifying critical business constraints and communicating with the traders and optimization team Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
