The Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F & MCW) Transplant Service Line and the MCW Division of Transplant Surgery are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible liver transplant surgeon interested in advancing an academic career in a vibrant and growing transplant center. The liver transplant program underwent a transformational change in the last 18 months and has ambitious plans with innovation, quality, and clinical excellence for the future. The transplant program has a 20-bed ICU that has outstanding expertise in the management of decompensated liver disease patients. Opportunity Full-time faculty position within the MCW Division of Transplant Surgery and the Department of Surgery in conjunction with the F & MCW Transplant Service Line. Opportunity to grow the adult liver transplant program. Opportunity to build the Living Donor Liver Transplant program at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Wisconsin in partnership with Faculty colleagues. Contribute to surgical management of children’s liver diseases including liver transplantation, liver tumor surgery and management of portal hypertension. Collaborate with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, intensivists, transplant and hepatology APPs, and other members of the service line to expand liver transplant care. Contribute to the clinical education of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees. Participate in the academic, research and educational missions of the institution. A strong intensivist and inpatient APP team for care of patients in the Transplant Intensive Care Unit (TICU). Robust support for clinical research. Compensation & Benefits Salary, research support, and benefits will be commensurate with rank and experience, and the candidate will hold appropriate academic rank in the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Medicine.
