in Florida (offices in Miami and Tampa), your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients.

What You Will Do Coordinate documentation with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.) Collaborate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants on healthcare projects (medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.) Manage ACHA communication and stage approvals Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical, and constructible solutions Oversee the production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks Ensure delivery of documents that reflect the design intent and high technical quality Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases Participate actively in the financial performance of the project Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Project Manager Build and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships Collaborate with, mentor, and support team members Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs Your Qualifications Experience working within AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations to deliver projects in Florida is preferred Manage AHCA communication and stage approvals Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school 10+ years of related experience on healthcare projects, including feasibility studies, pre-design, space programming, master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documents Experience delivering healthcare buildings is required Understanding of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI, FBC, NFPA) LEED AP (or in process) preferred Expertise with building codes, standards, and structures to guide teams and clients confidently Flexibility to manage multiple projects at various stages Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Ability to maintain and develop client relationships through successful project delivery Registered / Licensed Architect (RA) Revit proficiency preferred Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are committed to enjoying life as much as delivering top-tier design.
