AWS Professional Services team members leverage their deep knowledge of AWS technologies in collaboration with sales and partner teams to propose, architect, and implement transformational solutions for customers. We focus on customer success using AWS cloud as an enabler, driving innovation and impact in real-time. The Senior Proserve Cloud Architect (PCA) is a key role within the Professional Services organization, primarily focused on a qualify-deliver-manage model. The PCA partners with a Proserve Account Executive (PAE) to understand a customer’s business challenges, collaboratively propose outcomes, and pre-qualify engagements. The PCA remains actively engaged with the customer, AWS team, and project to ensure high-value, predictable, and successful delivery. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong technical expertise, a hybrid of AWS platform knowledge, customer-facing skills, and cross-industry business acumen. A passion for continuous learning, customer obsession, and success using AWS is essential. Key job responsibilities
Design, build, optimize, transform, or migrate applications, software, and services on AWS. Educate customers on AWS value propositions. Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises for world-class AWS solutions. Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications. Work with leadership and account teams to accelerate customer outcomes through AWS adoption. Build relationships with senior technical staff within customer organizations. Share best practices and knowledge within the AWS Professional Services community. A day in the life This role involves working directly with customers to address their business needs using AI, including travel to client sites as needed. About the team Part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue and growth across various customer segments, including public sector and enterprise clients. The Professional Services team operates within AWS’s global support framework. 10+ years of experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions. Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and OS. 5+ years of software development with object-oriented languages. Experience managing complex, large-scale projects with customer-facing roles. Technical expertise in design and architecture. Experience in consulting, service sales, business development, and pre-sales. Preferred Qualifications
