Appraisal (Weighted 100%): This will be conducted to evaluate the applicant's training, education, experience, interest, and personal fitness for the position. The appraisal can be based on investigation, oral examination, and/or review of application. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the exam process. Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:
Employment Standards - Public Health
Completion of an approved educational program for Nurse Practitioners; current licensure as a Registered Nurse in California specifying licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, OR possession of a valid certificate from the Board of Registered Nursing authorizing the use of the title Nurse Practitioner. Depending on assignment, incumbents may be required to possess and maintain specific certificates of competency. Positions assigned to Public Health require possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card, and adherence to all regulatory and hospital policies, including employee health screening. Employment Standards - Behavioral Health
