Your Role on the Team
Position Summary
The incumbent directly supervises laboratory technical and administrative functions for a distinct operational unit consisting of technologists who perform a wide variety of laboratory duties including but not limited to preanalytical processes and testing through data analysis and reporting; or technicians, assistants, phlebotomist and other staff who provide a wide range of laboratory support services; or a combination of both. Performs bench testing as needed.
Required Qualifications
What It Takes to be Successful
Two or more years applicable experience Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Current CA CLS License Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in supervision Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
