As an experienced APP provider, you will be an integral member of our plastic surgery team. You will play a vital role in providing clinic and OR support to the plastic surgeon as well as exceptional patient care to those whose treatment is managed by the Practice. We hope you will join our dynamic healthcare team at Guthrie Lourdes in Binghamton, NY.
Highlights and Responsibilities
See all follow-ups with established clinic patients. Perform clinic procedures at the discretion of the plastic surgeon. After surgery, attend to patients in the PACU for evaluation, and assist with discharge instructions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to treat and manage established patients. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments, adjusting as needed. First Assist in the OR: Most common procedures/surgeries: general plastics and soft tissue reconstruction; post-oncologic and trauma reconstruction. PTO of 216 hours plus 8 observed Guthrie holidays. CME of $2500. Candidate Requirements
Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State. Master's degree from an accredited program. RNFA certification required by NP candidate. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (within an outpatient clinic and hospital setting preferably). Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
