We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Bartender to join our team at The Seagate. This role is ideal for someone with strong mixology skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages with efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail. A commitment to customer satisfaction, professionalism, and knowledge of beverage service standards is essential in this fast-paced and guest-facing role.
What You Do: Open the bar register and complete all bar setup procedures according to standard operating procedures. Maintain control of the bar area throughout scheduled shifts, including the closing process. Attend responsible vendor training and ensure compliance with all applicable beverage laws. Possess thorough knowledge of product recipes and service procedures, managing stock and requisitions effectively. Create and update cocktail lists to enhance guest experience and satisfaction. Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to approved recipes and guest preferences. Ensure proper maintenance of bar equipment and cleanliness of bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspections. Stock all beverages, mixes, garnishes, and bar snacks in preparation for service. Uphold health and safety standards and policies at all times. Collaborate closely with servers and other staff to deliver excellent products and services to guests. Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and practices, maintaining standards of excellence in attitude, customer service, and job performance. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. What You Bring to the Table:
Must have alcohol server's certification or obtain certification as required by company policy. Previous cash handling experience with strong mathematical skills. Professional presentation and refined communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills conducive to a guest-focused environment. Ability to work with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Effective prioritization, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment. Ability to work cohesively in a team environment with minimal supervision. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill job tasks. Requires manual dexterity, including grasping, writing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods, up to 7 hours per shift. Able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and push/pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
