The Critical Facilities Project Manager job will lead and manage infrastructure projects in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, and financial institutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of building systems, and experience coordinating complex installations and upgrades with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end delivery of critical infrastructure projects (power, cooling, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.).

Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, commissioning agents, vendors, and operations staff.

Ensure all work meets industry standards, company policies, safety regulations, and uptime requirements (e.g., Uptime Tier Standards, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).

Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and communication plans.

Coordinate change management and MOP/SOP review processes to protect live environments during project execution.

Monitor and report project progress, delays, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Manage vendor and contractor relationships, procurement schedules, and performance tracking.

Ensure commissioning, testing, and handover meet operational standards and documentation requirements.

Conduct lessons learned and project closeout meetings to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience managing projects in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, financial institutions).

Strong knowledge of critical systems (UPS, generators, chillers, CRACs, BMS, etc.).

Proven track record delivering complex MEP projects on time and within budget.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications.

Familiarity with commissioning processes (CxA certification a plus).

Experience with Tier III/IV data center or other high-availability environments.

Understanding of industry frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 27001, or NFPA 70E.

Work Conditions:

This role may require occasional travel to project sites.

Ability to work in high-stakes environments with a focus on uptime and safety.

May involve after-hours or weekend work during critical cutovers or commissioning phases.
