KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing organization near Portsmouth, NH area. Our client is seeking an experienced
Controller
to step into a leadership position, overseeing all financial operations, managing a small accounting team and reporting directly to ownership.
This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, brings a problem-solving mindset, and enjoys both strategic and hands-on financial work.
The ideal candidate will possess strong management experience in accounting coming out of either real estate or professional services with the ability to oversee all accounting, financial reporting with proven experience reporting financials and to ownership.

Responsibilities For The Controller Position
Lead the accounting team and oversee all accounting and financial reporting Prepare month end financial reports, forecasts, budget reporting, etc. Support year-end close and filings Manage banking and lender relations, including documentation and compliance for ongoing and new financing Oversee construction-related financial workflows Maintain financial controls and ensure processes keep pace with company growth
What You Bring
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant experience 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or professional services Previous leadership experience in an accounting setting Experience with accountings systems such a QuickBooks, SAGE, etc. Excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of ownership Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
