We are looking for a Head of Fleet Reliability to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the aircraft maintenance programs and ensuring the highest levels of aircraft reliability and safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining aircraft airworthiness, optimizing maintenance operations, and minimizing disruptions to flight schedules. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Program Management: Developing, implementing, and managing aircraft maintenance programs in accordance with regulations, creating job cards, validating program limitations, and supporting initiatives for reliability improvement. Reliability Management: Implementing and managing a robust reliability program, analyzing technical and engine health monitoring data, and taking corrective actions through engineering modifications or repairs to meet technical dispatch reliability goals. Coordination and Communication: Effectively coordinating with regulatory bodies, as well as internal departments like Maintenance, Strategic Sourcing, and the Reliability Board. Leadership and Management: Leading maintenance staff, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, developing efficient maintenance schedules, managing staffing and resources, innovating maintenance processes, and evaluating improvements to the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS). This also includes providing staff development, overseeing vendors, and fostering company culture. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Establish and maintain the comprehensive maintenance program for Fury incorporating both CMB and RCM best practices. Condition-Based Maintenance-Plus (CBM+) is the application and integration of appropriate processes, technologies, and knowledge-based capabilities to improve the reliability and maintenance effectiveness of systems and components. At its core, CBM+ is maintenance performed based on Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis and other enabling processes and technologies, including prognostic health management. CBM+ uses a system engineering approach to collect data, enable analysis, and support the decision-making processes for system acquisition, sustainment, and operations. With more accurate predictions of impending failures (based on real-time condition data), coupled with more timely and effective repairs, moving toward CBM+ will result in dramatic savings. Fleet Reliability – ongoing monitoring of operational performance to improve reliability in the field and reach back to potential changes to production by operator Predictive engineering/analytics – Continuous evaluation of any/all data capable of being transmitted off any platform or downloaded to identify trends and develop alerts for proactive maintenance activity Aircraft/engine health monitoring – define, update, and analyze the data/telemetry from the aircraft and select systems to ensure real time aircraft health visibility and alerting as appropriate given customer operating requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in managing aircraft maintenance programs, knowledge of reliability systems and programs, and familiarity with Maintenance Planning principles Strong understanding of aviation regulations (such as CAA and FAA), airframe and powerplant construction and operations, and OSHA regulations is also necessary Knowledge of management methods, techniques, and practices, along with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions, perform repairs, and identify trends to improve reliability and safety is also crucial Proven experience in a Continued Airworthiness Management Organization Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance US Salary Range
