Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and strong skills in contrast imaging and special procedures.

Responsibilities Work in a community hospital setting, covering both the main CT department and ER scannerPatient population includes adults in acute care, outpatient, and emergency settingsSpecialized procedures performed include brain perfusion, CT arthrography, myelography, and musculoskeletal trauma imagingSchedule is four night shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Saturday 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.Call required three days every four weeks with a 30-minute arrival responseFloating is required between ER scanner and main department as neededUses PACS (required), McKesson system, and Siemens equipment (preferred experience)EMR charting required; Epic is most commonly usedDuties include preparing patients, administering and documenting contrast media, maintaining imaging quality standards, and assisting with interventional CT proceduresProper positioning, exposure technique, and adherence to radiation safety protocols are essentialWill perform venipuncture and medication administration under licensed practitioner directionMust be able to evaluate image quality and transfer images and clinical data promptlyRoyal blue scrubs are requiredFirst-time travelers are acceptedNo RTO (time off) allowed during the first week of assignment; 7 days of RTO allowed if not on holidaysMust be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment includes holiday datesCandidates living under 50 miles from the facility are offered a lower local rateMust be able to pass all required orientation and training modules prior to startFormer staff must have at least a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler; rehire approval is required
