Job Description

Ultra I&C is seeking a detail-oriented Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support program execution in a high-impact, fast-paced defense environment. This role emphasizes program control aspects such as schedule management, forecasting, Earned Value Management (EVMS), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). The DPM will collaborate closely with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure disciplined execution, accurate reporting, and proactive risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain integrated program schedules (IMS) aligned with contractual milestones. Forecast and track cost, schedule, and technical performance. Lead EVMS reporting, baseline planning, variance analysis, and performance assessments. Prepare and present program status briefings and reports for stakeholders and government clients. Develop and coordinate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), assessing impacts on cost and schedule. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program reviews. Coordinate with Contracts, Finance, and Engineering to ensure alignment across plans. Support risk management and corrective actions. Assist with program startup, closeout, and documentation. Occasional business travel may be required. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: Active US Government Security Clearance (US Citizens only). Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. At least 4 years of program or project management experience, preferably supporting DoD or government contracts. Strong knowledge of schedule development, forecasting, and EVMS principles. Experience with MS Project or similar tools. Familiarity with ECP processes and configuration management. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Experience with defense cost-type or fixed-price programs. Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government acquisition procedures. Experience with Deltek tools like Costpoint, Cobra, or Open Plan. PMP or similar certification is a plus. #IC #LI-Hybrid #LI-DA1 Notice
