I'm partnering with one of the largest media agencies in the world to hire a
Global Controller
reporting directly to the Global CFO. Rather than typical global controllership, this role focuses on: Global Audit
- work hand-in-hand with the new external auditor (the relationship has just switched after 20 years and they have a new approach which needs attention) Technical Accounting - Need IFRS
experience Lead the
development of a new balance sheet review and analysis process
- go onsite to different markets/countries around the world and sit down with regional finance teams to recreate processes Be the expert on revenue recognition guidance, client incentive accounting, including IFRS 15 Build relationships with reginal finance teams and work with them to resolve complex technical accounting issues ALSO have traditional Controllership experience - month end, getting books closed, financial reporting, etc. You are: Need people with a combo of Audit, Technical Accounting, IFRS, and traditional Controllership Ideal candidates have CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent Need experience working at a large global company with a multi-national scope Must understand client billing 10 - 20 years of experience - 15 years is the sweet spot! Okay traveling twice a quarter Compensation: $275k - $300k base salary + 20%-30% cash bonus + equity 3 days per week in office in NYC (Manhattan) Seniority level
