You will play an important role in: Reporting to the Senior Director, Interconnection, you will be responsible for managing the interconnection process from utility studies to commercial operation, covering engineering, procurement, and construction of utility interconnections for renewable energy and storage projects. You should have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate, and a technical understanding of interconnection requirements with local transmission owners. Your responsibilities include: Managing utility processes, timelines, and relationships during EPC of North American projects. Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction management of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Reviewing plan sets with Boralex Interconnection Engineering to ensure EPC plans meet utility requirements. Managing communication between EPC contractors and Utilities & ISOs during execution. Organizing relevant documents and communications. Performing site visits and reporting on interconnection facility issues. Tracking utility scope and schedules to meet deadlines. Managing utility testing and commissioning of interconnection facilities. Building collaborative relationships with Utilities and ISOs. Managing electric utility easements, encroachments, and access roads. Managing metering and telecommunications services. Overseeing the entire interconnection process from agreement to commissioning and COD. Collaborating with interconnection engineering and EPC teams to ensure compliance with CTO standards. This role requires approximately 25% travel across North America. To succeed in this position, you need: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, with training or experience in interconnection management. Over 5 years of relevant experience managing interconnection processes in U.S. energy markets. Experience in major project development is an asset. Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization skills.
