Amazon . Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives. They oversee all aspects of operations at the site, including managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership within the Fulfillment Center. Key job responsibilities
Drive quality initiatives, process improvements, and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business goals. Ensure safety, quality, performance, and customer experience in inbound or outbound operations. Set expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold them accountable. Foster idea sharing and continuous improvement across departments and shifts. Collaborate with support functions (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, other Sr. Managers) to secure support for projects and initiatives. A day in the life
Lift and move items over 50 lbs. Perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching activities. Walk and stand for extended periods, covering large facility areas. Work in environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or unair-conditioned. Access all areas of the building safely, including ladders and stairs. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience. 7+ years management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution. Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques. Experience with staffing lifecycle processes including hiring, performance management, and termination. Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations. Interest in long-term career development across multiple FCs nationwide.
