Assistant Engineering Manager Twin Falls, ID Client is on the hunt for an
Assistant Engineering Manager
to wrangle the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department in scenic
Twin Falls, Idaho . This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is perfect for someone who likes juggling capital projects, training teams, and turning organized chaos into operational magic. Responsibilities Provide direction for engineering activities ensuring all projects meet code requirements and professional standards. Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to bring exciting new projects to life. Collect and analyze operational data to uncover areas ready for improvement. Prepare cost estimates, designs, and oversee construction for a variety of factory projects. Assist in managing the Engineering Department—budgets, schedules, and people wrangling included. Provide engineering support across departments when needed—think of yourself as the superhero of support. Research the latest gadgets and gizmos from vendors and wow the team with your findings. Collaborate with leadership on selecting the right equipment for the job. Lead, mentor, and inspire your engineering team like the rockstar you are. Stay updated on engineering advancements and tech trends—because knowledge is power. Clearly communicate policies, expectations, and occasional dad jokes (optional, but encouraged). Motivate, prioritize, and evaluate your team’s work to keep things running smoothly. Travel for trainings, conferences, and maybe a few epic team lunches. Offer expert engineering advice to leadership on maintenance and operations. Build strong relationships across departments to keep collaboration humming. Other duties as needed—because let’s be real, there’s always something else. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or a strong caffeine tolerance and an engineering degree). Minimum 5 years of experience in factory operations or a solid combination of training and experience. Valid Driver’s License—because sometimes you’ve got to hit the road. PE license preferred; if you don’t have one yet, we’ll help you get there. Strong knowledge of engineering systems in manufacturing environments. Familiarity with systems design and standard engineering practices. Comfortable with computers and engineering tech (no typewriters here). Bilingual? That’s a bonus! Seniority level
