The Rotating Equipment Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of refinery machinery. This position requires hands-on expertise in rotating equipment, preventative maintenance, and root cause failure analysis. The engineer will work collaboratively across departments to optimize machinery performance and support capital and turnaround projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee machinery planning and contractor coordination for pre/post-turnaround activities. Develop and monitor preventative maintenance strategies to maximize machinery reliability. Lead reliability optimization efforts, including troubleshooting and action item implementation. Provide technical expertise in machinery selection, shop testing, and installations. Manage machinery-focused projects and recommend reliability and operational improvements. Ensure compliance with API standards and process safety management protocols. Perform root cause failure analysis and support Management of Change procedures. Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and area teams to optimize refinery operations. Support capital project development and turnaround engineering reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 2-5 years of experience in refinery/industrial mechanical engineering. Expertise in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, fans). Familiarity with API standards (e.g., API 610, 612, 613, 617). Preferred knowledge in vibration analysis and preventative maintenance. Experience with SAP and root cause failure analysis is a plus.
