The City of Kennewick is seeking a deeply experienced fire service professional to lead the Kennewick Fire Department into its next chapter of public service excellence. Kennewick Fire is a sophisticated emergency services provider with strong staff, appropriate resources, and support from City Council and management. The incoming Chief will refine service provision, advance fire station planning in growth areas, and achieve strategic plan goals.
Annual Salary Range: $174,556 - $223,446

Education Must have a bachelor’s degree in Fire Service Administration or Fire Science or related field (see note in next paragraph)
Experience Must have 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in a municipal fire department, including a minimum of three years of senior management level experience, and/or any combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the identified job duties and responsibilities.
