The Training Manager: Account Executive Training is responsible for developing the training and strategy curriculum for AbbVie Account Executives supporting the Immunology Gastro franchise, specifically the GAM or Gastroenterology Account Managers. This individual will create, lead, and collaborate within cross-functional teams comprising Training, Medical/Clinical experts, Marketing, Sales Management, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, MHC, other AbbVie groups, and external vendors. They must be confident in and comfortable with cross-functional team structures and adept at collaboration and influence management. The position also involves providing training design and development support, leading initiative and program design efforts involving external and internal organizations. Key Responsibilities

Leading the training strategy development process, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of performance-focused training curricula to improve the capabilities of the AbbVie US Sales Organization and the Sales Franchise. Building effective relationships to work collaboratively with Senior Commercial Leaders, cross-functional partners, Leadership Development, and other groups to drive performance through effective commercial training. Implementing training curricula to enhance product and therapeutic knowledge, selling skills, objection handling, and understanding of the competitive landscape. Implementing training curricula to improve the impact and effectiveness of the GAM team. Partnering with Senior Managers and the National Sales Director to develop and execute national sales meetings and training workshops aligned with the GAM team strategy. This Person Must Also

Represent the Field Training leadership team effectively. Interact with and influence all levels of management to plan, design, and develop learning strategies that contribute to business objectives for sales franchises. Demonstrate a passion for excellence, focusing on performance results and fostering accountability among self, direct reports, the training department, stakeholders, and participants. Qualifications

Basic:

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products. 8-15 years experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales and sales management, with success in developing and leading effective sales teams. Experience in Buy & Bill markets, executing or leading related strategies and tactics. Strategic thinking and business planning skills to diagnose needs and influence training and organizational strategies. Project management experience managing cross-functional teams or external partners on large initiatives. Preferred:

Experience in marketing, sales management, or commercial training. Knowledge of instructional design systems or extensive experience in training and curriculum development. Experience in selling, negotiating, and influencing within complex accounts. Marketing or sales leadership experience. Additional Information
