Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Plant Manager for their Manufacturing Plant near Millington TN (Memphis Area). The Site Manager will provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the plant with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability. The Plant Manager will assuring quality work is being performed in a safe work environment and be responsible for protecting and maintaining the assets of the company. This person will manage & prepare the budget, production schedules, & uphold work standards within all departments while directing Department Managers and holding everyone accountable for their responsibilities.
Candidates with a technical background and hands on approach to leadership will be set up for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have several years of Site Leadership experience. This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement process in all areas of plant operations. Review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate production schedules and materials/ equipment procurement with sales orders, and arranges for trucks/ railcars to handle shipments of inbound/ outbound material. Maintain contact with sales team to identify customers’ specific needs, and to collect their ideas and future interests. Provide leadership, direction and coordination to site production personnel and subordinate management to ensure efficient operation and quality service Approve and control expenditures for the plant Monitor all productivity data and reviews and/or modifies work procedures/schedules to improve productivity. Ensure compliance with company, human resources, state and federal policies and regulations. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance to production budgets and schedules, monitors production and raw materials output/quality data, and compiles reports for management review. Review and approve the appointment, employment, transfer or termination of all site personnel Plan for the development of personnel resources and maintains programs, which will encourage successful future operation of the facility Ensure the adequacy and proper utilization of the services provided by site units and resolve any conflicts arising between operating groups, staff units, and other elements under supervision. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred 4+ years experience in Plant Management or Site Operations Leadership - preferably within Chemicals / Automotive / Industrial Equipment, Steel or Similar Industries Strong working knowledge of inventory control systems Good computer skills including Microsoft Office - Experience with SAP a plus. Ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously Technical Background in Engineering / Maintenance / Facilities Management is preferred Hands On Approach to Leadership - Developing Relationships & Atmosphere of Teamwork
