Fogo de Chão The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics is a key leadership role responsible for modernizing and managing Fogo de Chão’s enterprise data infrastructure. This role leads the strategic transformation of our data platform, transitioning from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, project management, and leadership capabilities to deliver impactful data solutions that support business performance, analytics, and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, cloud-native enterprise data platform Maintain and optimize mission-critical legacy data systems including SQL Server and Essbase Manage third-party vendors and external contractors to ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations Develop, document, and enforce data governance and security policies Collaborate with business leaders to define data needs and deliver operational analytics, dashboards, and reports Ensure accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of business intelligence and data systems Support CI/CD integration for data pipelines and analytics workflows Serve as a hands-on contributor, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership to team members Core Competencies Strategic Thinking & Execution Ability to think big-picture and translate business objectives into scalable, data-driven solutions. Demonstrates long-term vision while effectively executing short-term deliverables. Technical Leadership Deep understanding of modern data architecture, platforms, and best practices. Acts as a hands-on technical expert and mentor, setting standards for code quality, data governance, and system reliability. Proven success managing third-party contractors and technology partners. Skilled at negotiating deliverables, managing performance, and ensuring accountability to timelines and business needs. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into language that resonates with business stakeholders. Builds trust and alignment across departments. Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking Brings a solution-oriented mindset to data challenges. Skilled at identifying root causes, designing scalable solutions, and using data to tell compelling, actionable stories. Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments. Guides teams through change with a steady focus on outcomes and continuous improvement. Data Governance & Quality Assurance Demonstrates a deep commitment to data accuracy, security, and compliance. Builds and enforces standards and processes to ensure data integrity and reliability. Business Acumen Understands how data impacts overall business performance. Uses data to drive insights, improve operations, and support key strategic decisions. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required (Master’s preferred) 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform leadership Strong experience with Snowflake, Azure, dbt, Fivetran, and CI/CD pipelines Expertise in SQL, SQL Server, and/or Essbase Experience managing contractors and external technology partners Preferred industry experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors Computer Skills Proficiency with modern data stack tools: Advanced SQL and data modeling capabilities Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Comfortable working in Git-based environments with CI/CD workflows Familiarity with enterprise reporting systems and data governance frameworks Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to occasionally travel for on-site collaboration or vendor management Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time Team Members on the first of the month following their start date. Additionally, company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability are provided where allowed.
