This Senior Station Manager role will be for the "South Chicago" Region. The specific site will be determined by the Hiring Manager. For questions regarding location, please contact the Hiring Manager or Recruiter. AMZL Sr. Station Leaders are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS). Responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations, Area, and Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring to meet performance objectives, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership within the DS. Key Responsibilities
Oversee safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and personnel development for all delivery station operations. Drive vision, quality initiatives, process improvements, and lean initiatives to meet and exceed business goals. Identify and close performance gaps. Set clear expectations for Managers, measure performance, and hold them accountable. Manage operations in a high-volume, 24/7 environment. Maintain relationships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs). Present operational metrics to senior leadership. Hire, develop, and implement talent plans, including recruitment, performance management, and succession planning. Foster a strong culture and employee engagement. Share best practices across departments and shifts. Collaborate with business partners to support projects and initiatives. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience. 7+ years of management experience in logistics, fulfillment, or related fields. Proven performance in high-pressure environments. Experience with metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques. Experience in full lifecycle staffing. Strong analytical skills and data-driven problem solving. Excellent communication skills in English and local language. Experience managing third-party resources and contingent workforce. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience in a startup environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and stressful situations.
