We are looking for an
Enterprise Observability Engineer
with over 12 years of experience. The candidate will leverage insightful data to inform systems and solutions, focusing on building ETL and Data Operations frameworks, including Data Preparation, Normalization, and Ontological processes.
Technical Skills:
Five or more years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools
Full stack observability expertise with Splunk (preferred) / Datadog, Infra monitoring, App onboarding, and APM experience
Proficiency in observability tools such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing systems
Experience creating OOB dashboards and templates, and integrating ITSI for event data analytics
Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native environments, and hybrid infrastructure
Familiarity with AWS ecosystem, specifically Redshift and RDS
Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes and in the insurance domain
Professional certification is a plus
Strong scripting and automation skills, with experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teams to onboard applications to Splunk and other observability tools
Use agile methodologies for iterative system improvements
Model data sources to enhance user flow analysis and insights
Build and expand data pipelines for data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation
Develop scalable Pub/Sub and messaging architectures
Establish and standardize ontological and semantic data standards
Create models for predictive analytics and business insights
Design and implement observability pipelines for data collection and analysis
Set up monitoring systems to detect anomalies and performance issues in real-time
Define metric and instrumentation standards, including OTel compliance
Analyze telemetry data to identify trends and communicate insights visually
Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions based on observability data
Collaborate across teams to integrate observability practices into workflows
Stay updated on the latest trends in observability and cloud technologies
Create documentation and share knowledge related to observability systems
