Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: Engineer, install, maintain, configure, and optimize Microsoft server operating systems. Manage virtualized environments. Provision and manage virtual machines. Manage and configure VDI environments. Configure and maintain network services such as DNS and DHCP. Knowledge in creating, administering, and troubleshooting Group Policies (GPOs). Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Coordinate changes, implementations, and maintenance for network and security configurations with internal and external IT teams. Support the administration of Microsoft SQL databases. Develop and implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to IT systems and document results. Review STIG checklists developed by others for accuracy and completeness. Develop RMF security policy and procedures documents. Qualifications

Required: Minimum: BS with 8 years, MS with 6 years, PhD with 3 years; 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Must have a current DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT/M Level III certification. Active TS/SCI clearance is required. Experience in infrastructure/datacenter engineering and integration for both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting multiple operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, and AIX. One or more engineering disciplines: Storage Engineering: experience with enterprise HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN). Network Engineering: experience with Cisco LAN/WAN, Software Defined Networking (SDN). Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering: experience with VMware vCloud Suite and hybrid cloud environments with multiple classified government clouds. Desired: Professional-level certifications in Linux, VMware, Network, Storage, or Cloud. ITIL Foundations certification. Peraton Overview

$112,000 - $179,000. This range varies based on experience and other factors. EEO
