About the role: Location: Houston, Texas Hours: Full-Time As our Business Development Manager for our Americas region, you will lead Motive business growth in the Americas region and generate new business opportunities. Working closely with the Regional Director – Americas and the Global Business Development Manager, the Business Development Manager will establish sales growth strategies and will oversee day to day sales with a focus on securing company backlog. In this high-impact role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape Motive’s growth across the Americas, working closely with regional and global leadership. You’ll enjoy autonomy in driving strategy, exposure to international markets, and the chance to represent innovative solutions that deliver real value. About the team: As a key member of our Motive LLC team, you’ll play a central role in shaping the success of Motive’s business development initiatives. Your efforts will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and aligning our solutions with client needs. With a strong focus on strategic growth and customer satisfaction, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, innovative solutions that meet the highest standards and support long-term client success. And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment. Responsibilities: People Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout. Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc. To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd. Planet Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations. Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives. Product Play an advisory role to the Regional Manager and Global Business Development Manager, providing feedback with regards to new business opportunities to further sales business performance. Target and develop client base through presenting Motive Group’s equipment and services to both new and existing clients at meetings and/or industry events Develop project "win" strategies, feed market intelligence and strategy to Regional Manager and Global Business Development Manager, targeting planned financial and strategic objectives. Build relationships to generate loyalty and sales opportunities to enable sales team to achieve new and improved margin growth. Fully support and assist sales team to develop first class proposal/quotation responses to new tender opportunities and interface with the Client throughout to ensure that offers are well received, in accordance with client requests, and supported through to contract award and handover. Build and retain relationships with new and existing Motive Clients received from the Sales Team and report feedback accordingly. Be highly presentable and representative of the Company’s image at all times. Develop initiatives for long-term and continual improvement of the business processes. Required skills / knowledge: Sales or Business Development experience, ideally in the subsea energy sector. The ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of staff. The ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation. Excellent business, planning, change and time management capabilities.
